Serving a local, niche market? Video can help!

Serving a local, niche market? Video can help!

Do you run a business or non-profit with a local focus? Do you want to make more people in your area aware of your services, and get inspired to get in touch with you?

You probably have heard that people want to work with people who they know, trust, and like. It makes sense – that’s probably how you would prefer to choose who to hire. Since we can’t personally find and meet, in person, everyone in our ideal client group or local area, we have to use the next best thing at our disposal: video.  Video is currently the best way to establish trust and inspire action in prospective clients and donors. A short, well-made video with a clear message and a call to action will not only help you reach many more people than you ever can in person, it will give them a sense of your knowledge of your field, your personality, the passion you have for what you do… And because video is valued highly by internet search engines, having video on your website will also increase your search rankings, which in turn helps get your site more visitors.

To see an example of how you can share your message and differentiate yourself from the competition as a small business, check out the video we made with Mark Anthony, founder of Primo Health Solutions. And let us know if you think your business or non-profit can use the boost video can provide.

A Downloadable Pre-production Survey

If you’ve been thinking about producing video for your business, non-profit, or school, you might find yourself stuck or overwhelmed. After all, there’s so much you can do with video — but you want to make sure your message is clear and appealing to your target/ideal clients. Where to begin? How to stay focused? How to plan the next steps?

See-see’s pre-production survey can help. Download it by clicking on the image below.

It was a very popular request at our recent workshops, so we decided to share it here as well. Try to be realistic as you fill it out, and scale your production so that it’s manageable within the time frame and resources you can devote to it. After you download your copy, contact us if you have any questions. Happy video planning!

Highlights from the season finale of The League of Composers

Recording concerts and performances is such a treat! Of course, a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes, but the tension and pressure to make sure we are capturing the live performance as best we can soon dissipate, and when the editing is complete, being able to sit back and enjoy the music and musicianship is priceless. The League of Composers held their  Season Finale Concert in New York City this June, including two world premieres, and performances by world-class soloists as well as the critically acclaimed Orchestra of the League themselves. See the short highlights video on our youtube channel.

Do we make music videos? Oh yes!!

Do we make music videos? Oh yes!!

We’ve been busy this summer working on our documentary, expanding our network, recording concerts (which you’ll soon get a glimpse of here)… so we neglected to share this high tempo music video. The Lord Calverts are letting the world know they are back and rocking again, with this music video for their new track “9600 Reasons”. It was a lot of fun shooting and editing this one, with noted indie film and TV producer Leland Krane. The band apparently loved it, so do the fans. You can see the video on our portfolio page and our youtube channel. There is another music video in the works, which we can’t wait to share as soon as we’re done with post-production.

This video we produced was fun and challenging to work on, and we’re happy to see it so well liked. The Kickstarter campaign for the League of Composers is under way to fund two new commissions, and we’re sure they’re going to have a wonderful concert this summer. Secil is to teach Media Literacy Workshops with the LAMP

Secil is excited to start another  academic year working with The LAMP, facilitating workshops on media literacy and production. The workshops focus on giving children and youth the skills and tools needed to understand how various forms of media are produced, and how all these messages and images influence us. Secil will be part of the team teaching at PS 145 in Upper West Side. The LAMP, a non profit that’s received many awards and accolades, including multiple MacArthur grants,  runs media literacy programs all over New York.

BCAP/Heart of Brooklyn and The LAMP now have a short and sweet video edited by See-see, among their promotional and fundraising tools. Non-profits and small businesses benefit tremendously from well-made videos that demonstrate how their work benefits the audiences they intend to serve. To see what we recently edited for the LAMP, a media literacy organization, and for Ezra Guitar, a guitar instruction school, visit our YouTube channel. Selections from past work, with more information about how video has worked for these companies and individuals, are on our samples-portfolio page.
